I stand on the edge of the world,
starring out at the diamond studded abyss spread out before me.
I am drawn towards it,
like a peice of metal being pulled towards a magnet.
the ground beneath my feet is parched and cracked.
the gnarled fingers of long forgotten trees reach towards it,
longing for releif from this rainless world.
and I long too.
So now i have a question.
would you come and stand beside me?
and throw away your dreams to feed the monster
that takes away everything and gives nothing back?
or would you take my hand?
and walk with me to wear the sky's no longer grey?
Could you walk away from the edge of the world?
