Easy fatality

Psalm 30:6

New English Translation

6 In my self-confidence I said,

“I will never be shaken.”

Psalm 6:2

New English Translation

2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am frail.

Heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking.

An easy fatality

The conscience has always the same purpose

To be the current standard of God’s leading

I need to submit to it or otherwise I sin

God judges through my conscience and brings evaluation

to guide and direct my path to the place I should have been

Young Christians you have a great advantage

Your conscience is so sensitive and easily moved

You surely try to follow the Lord wholeheartedly

You just have the ability to keep your mind aloof

We older believers have gathered so much “knowledge”

That we tend to overdevelop all issues through the mind

We numb our sensitivity and so conscience moves aside

We seem to become unmovable as the Spirit within us cries

This is a fatal blow to what could be a tender spiritual life

To take knowledge as our standard as to escape so from the flesh

Like we have already settled in the brittle bones of our existence

As we enjoy ourselves in believing that we’re just not like the rest
