Earth Wind And Fire

“She’s made of fire
And He’s her hurricane.
In their wake,
They leave volcanic ash.
She can’t calm the storm.
He can’t kill the flames.
But when the skies turn black,
And the Earth starts to rumble,
When She falls through the cracks,
And He starts to drown,
They pretend for awhile
That they’re not made
For destruction,
Whispering ‘I love you’s'
In between silent sighs,
Everything stops.
Her fire is sunshine.
And His storm is summer rains.
If you looked up at the sky
In that very moment,
You’d see a brilliant glow–
A radiant rainbow.”
