Duality of souls...

# Duality of Souls

In the depths of night, where dreams and reality blend,
She sleeps lightly till my arms descend—
The moment I embrace her close,
Her soul recognizes the one she chose.

Yet for me, these moments split in two:
Grasping serenity while chaos bleeds through,
Holding personal heaven while bound in chains,
Two souls connected through eternal pains.

Never have I witnessed hearts so intertwined,
Yet daily rejection leaves us confined—
She, alive while partially dead,
Yearning for life's path ahead.
While I count seconds toward my demise,
Watching hope fade from azure eyes.

She's found her forever in a broken man,
Who trembles at vulnerability's plan,
Fearing heaven's gates will part
Before we realize this gift of heart—
Then waking alone on cold stone floor,
Heaven's memory, nothing more.

In her gaze of cerulean blue,
I see the love that could've grew
Had I chosen grace's gentle way,
But different paths lead us astray—
Her destination bathed in light,
While mine descends to endless night.

For her, heaven holds a sacred space,
While I, seen worthy of her grace,
Link by link forge chains so strong,
Binding me where I don't belong—
When I could have followed her instead
To where all holy paths are led.

God gave us heaven and hell to choose,
Some find glory, some refuse—
All He asked was to submit,
Let go of pride, and admit
That love transcends our mortal pain,
When we surrender to His reign.

For these souls, divinely paired,
Yet eternally separated, hearts ensnared—
One bathed in light of grace divine,
One bound by chains of their design—
A testament to choices made,
When love and faith hang in the shade.
