Safely, Sail safely

I care not for the wisdom of the world

Maybe, just maybe

The waves will drag me down in their curls

This flimsy raft I have built

Should not have set sail

With the weight of my guilt

Heavy hearts are causing me sink

As I drift into the saline brine

A distant light is is just beginning to shine

I waft effortlessly as it begins to shrink

For fear of losing the sun

I dare not blink

My final memories of laying down

I did not intend to drown

Though I always find myself

Gasping for air

Swimming through the thoughts

I wish were not there
