Drought

Sat, 03/23/2024 - 12:37 -- Andreee

The drought is coming to an end

Soon there will be a downpour

Tears don’t come easily to me

My dry cheeks will be

A sea

I’m failing

But I am prevailing

I’m unveiling (my tears)

After so long this drought

Shall be no more

When you leave

The state of hate

I was left at was great

I must debate

How to rate

Who hurt me more

Is It myself?

I’d hate to be the reason

You leave

Alway distractin’

Always writing these songs

Always complainin’

So I say cheers

On the verge of tears

I say cheers to falling

Into the deep end of h*ll

Oh I’m tired of trying

Tired of dying

Tired, I’m just tired

This drought is killin’ me

I need some painkillers

When you leave, this drought

Will be no more

Oh this war

Inside my head

Is killin’ me

This boy is foggin’ my brain

And the drought is soon to end

I’m failing

But I am prevailing

I’m unveiling (my tears)

After so long this drought

Shall be no more

When you leave

I’m in love

But my love is leavin’

Saying goodbye

But that day is not today

And not tomorrow

So why am I standing here

Waiting for him to leave

Take it while it lasts

Till’ it’s gone

So I say cheers

On the verge of tears

I say cheers to falling

In love into the deep end

So I must say

The drought is coming to an end

And soon there will be a downpour

I’m failing

But I am prevailing

I’m unveiling (my tears)

After so long this drought

Shall be no more

When you leave

My drought is coming to an end

But I am prevailing

Until that day comes
