Luke 11:44

44 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like graves which are not seen, and the men who walk over them are not aware of them.”

Without the Holy Spirit … the “prosperity gospel”

Driven by personalities ... being led by the nose

Maybe they’ll go away ... from the way they chose?

A simple path of ease ... with obstacles removed

A longing in uncertainty with nothing left to prove

It seems that given orders ... and directions set

Are mostly by the ones who seem to manage well

In person or business ... they seem to be well set

This is the way it appears ... strange as you can tell

Responsible for God’s business ... this small group of folks

Who thrive on their opinions ... like eggs without a joke

Driven by desire ... to be loved and recognized as such

I guess there’s one end in sight as they’re so out of touch

.

Nothing left but drooling ... about true life that got away

As emptiness and nothingness are ruling from the past

Purpose seems lost in a haze ... as it never had a handle

In a move-less call that surely ... winds up in an endless task
