Raindrops pour and splash across her face
They dance and he kisses with such elegant grace.
Now this may seem like its from a movie scene
But truthfully this is all just a dream
There is no quirky cat and mouse chase
No hot and sweaty midnight embrace

I have given my all and now I've stopped trying
For your affection I will not be vying
Though you most certainly are a snake charmer
I am not just a simpleton farmer
And this load of crap I am not buying
Just because you sit there dramatically sighing

Rolling around on the green grass
Your hands touch and playfully pat my ass
We are young and love lost
We live free, but, at what cost?

We did once play youthfully under our cover
