Dreams of Gold

If her dreams could come to life

They'd manifest themselves into

a million stars colored in pink and gold stained tears

and expressions riddled from the small lines of details

crossing over her face to compensate for

the pain that over takes her soul

when her own love looks her back in the eye

with no target looking back.

Her eyes are flooded with sleepless nights

tempered by the nightmare that this

loneliness will last a lifetime
