Dreams

Location

Little kids have imaginations.

Little kids always have their dreams.

But lately in the world one finds

Those prospects turn to steam.

Little boys always say,

“I want to go pro!”

And little girls always say,

“I want to be in a show!”

They all have their dreams

No matter how far or how wide.

But when they tell Billy from the playground

He simply looks up and smiles.

Billy says that one can’t

Have a dream or a wish

Because Billy’s old parents

Told him all this.

So poor Billy’s life

Just seemed to shatter

'Cause he can’t be an astronaut

And that’s all that matters.

But little Billy doesn’t know

That dreams can come true

If you wish for the stars

And fight for your view.

So little boys and little girls

Can be doctors and rock stars,

Dentists and lawyers,

And celebs in nice cars.

Just take my big brother

Who was once just like you.

He wished for his dream

And one day he flew.
