So hard she tried,
But so quickly she died,
In my arms she laid,
Bloody and broken,
She slept so silently,
That no one could tell,
That she had died the night before,
By her own hand.

A simple tear fell from my face,
Her voice ringing in my ears,
I turn to see her smiling at me,
My eyes widen at her appearance,
She says I should join her,
The tears continue to fall,
She says she misses me,
I walk towards her,
The darkness then consumes her.

The days slow to a halt,
Every second brings with it the thought,
Finally I give in to that vile idea,
I feel the coldness of that gun to my head,
I pull the trigger,
Hoping to see her again.

She woke up the next day,
His body is still,
She tried to wake him,
She started to scream,
His body was cold,
His bloody nightmare had consumed while he slept.
She began to cry violently out for him.

They were on their honeymoon,
How could she know?
That it was all a dream,
Yet the dream had taken his life,
You are my dearest friend forever and even in the end,
Said she,
So in her rising sorrow,
She took the pills from off her nightstand,
She swallowed them with no regrets.

They awoke next to each other,
It is dark around them,
Through the trees,
Came out the sun,
They grasped each others hand,
Forever they will wander the earth.
