Dread (inspired by Without Words by Juan Alom)

Sleeping while encased in serenity,
Like Eden before woeful expulsion,
Relishing this joyous amenity,
Such was he prior to metal revulsion,
He, who is calm despite his horrid state,
Would give the wise Solomon confusion,
Such a sheen, pierced face could adorn Hell's gate,
In remorse he bolsters the illusion,
He would leave mighty Zeus demoralized,
Accepting pain and torment in his dream,
Thus, his agony is immortalized,
Even Deimos eludes his silent screams,
The tranquil face, imapled, leaves no words said,
Let the world see his face, for he is dread.
