Dozing

Proverbs 10:24 New English Translation (NET Bible)

24 What the wicked fears will come on him;

what the righteous desire will be granted.

Nightmares in the middle of the day

Please give me a glass of water

To wash all my fears away

They appear like forms of laughter

Wake me up from confusion

That so easily besets me

An unwelcome intrusion

In all the ways it begets me

Unreliable thought and feeling

Dangling swaying in the wind

Little now appears appealing

Left without a clue or hint

Maybe in a moment or two

A welcome release will come

And then be self again for you

Who does not care or I’m undone

And so we get on with a smile

To hide from you our true intention

The ones we have lost for a while

And now pops up as incomprehension
