Don't be Afraid; Beginnings Aren't Always the Start.

Walking down a dark path it feels to be endless,
Even with a light shining you know that was just the beginning.
You hear laughter and your heart skips a beat.
Who was that?
Your head is swimming with questions,
You can barely contain your curiosity.
Then you hear a chuckle in the wind.
Are they laughing at me?
Once walking, but now running,
You reach out for something,
Anything?
Your throat starts to hurt,
You realize that you’ve been screaming.
Where am I going?
Now too far into the darkness,
The light can no longer be seen.
You fear you’re lost forever.
Someone starts to sing.
You recognize the song!
They’re singing for you!
Focusing on the words,
You’ve known all along.
The road is long but not unending.
Can you remember your happy beginning?
Sometimes the end of the road,
Is remembering where you have gone.
