Do not fight ancestor might

Do not fight glory of ancestor might

New ages should rejoice hispanic life

Sing, singing in the mariachi night

Maria and Roberto know what’s right

Because of familia and all their strife

Do not fight glory of ancestor might

Immigrants they call us, foreign to fight

Talk of aliens instead of our life

Sing, singing in the mariachi night

You’re stupid they scream across the hall light

And learn nothing of our historic life

Do not fight the glory of ancestor might

And when we speak up we will come to bite

Our pens writing grievances, lawless life

Sing, singing in the mariachi night
