Location

I was tired, shackled by the shadows

All that was visible was the fire

The images carried before the fire was all I had

The bright, once vibrant fire began to fade into ashes

As I began to fade as well

The images carried before the fire ruled my life

Until I saw the Sun

With my own eyes

The Sun was hard to understand at first

Hard to see

I was so used to the fire

The fire that someone else made

My eyes needed to adjust

But when I saw the sun I saw myself

Everything became so clear

The Shadows vanished

The shackles broke

My Passion grew

The images carried before the fire didn’t define me anymore

I defined me
