Old enough to know better,
Too young to care.
I'm growing up in a world
With so much despair.

To do wrong or do right?
I often find myself uncertain.
Because the people that correct me,
Are hiding things behind a curtain.

They say "enjoy life while you can"
"Have fun while you're young".
But with so many young deaths,
I hope I make it to twenty-one!

To do wrong or do right?
I'm just so confused.
And I know I'm not crazy;
just look at the news!

Mass murders and shootings.
Scandals, Lies, and War.
They have enough money for warfare,
But not enough to feed the poor.

To do wrong or do right?
I know my peers feel my pain.
People tell you to "do right"
But they have trouble doing the same.

I know no man is perfect,
But let's at least show some effort.
We're a country of "equality"
But our congress can't event come together.

To do wrong or do right?
I've been lost for so long.
How can one do good,
When this whole world is so wrong?
