Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding.
6 Acknowledge him in all your ways,
and he will make your paths straight.

In wonder

How great a distance that I still have to travel?

The road I travel now I’m following backwards

Looking for beginnings before I hear the gavel

As my time is ending in my movement wayward

Where did it all start – in dreams of yesterday?

Who cares but me – what will befall me now?

What was my part in this offensive display?

Is it dissatisfaction that conquered me somehow?

Pointing every finger, my own and the ones borrowed

At everyone in sight that I really want to blame

Thoughts always linger and bring self-imposed sorrow

To my every plight like life is just a game
