Dim-lit Dances.

Those nights we couldn't sleep
because we were up late,
lost in our dreams.

You would sing sweet songs of love.
I'd dance by the time lit colored glow.
Those moments felt like hours with you.
And these minutes feel wrong because you're gone.
And all my dim lit dances are through,
silenced forever are your love songs.

Each morning I woke smiling,
your sunlit face the first sight I'd see.
Birds chirping and flowers in bloom
Always somehow springtime in our room.
And all the sunlit slits are covered,
The flowers drooping by the table.
