Devastatingly Awesome

Breathing fresh air for the very first time

Arguing with siblings, whats yours is mine

Getting in trouble for things I shouldn't do

Having siblings that stick together like glue

Having girls say eww when you walk by

Getting bite by misquitos and dragon flies

Saying hello to people you just don't know

Playing tag on your mark get set go

Moving to a new place with new faces

Getting beat up becasuse I didnt know the paces

making new friends everywhere I went

Having my dad there so that I could vent

Playing ball on the school team

Being scared from a midnights dream

Becoming interested in a girl

Finding a grey hound puppy and naming her pearl

Going camping with my dear ole dad

Then remembering a reason to be sad

seeing my parents grow apart

laughing when my little brother let out a huge fart

seeing my step parents in a more recent view

raising my hand to give an answer I knew

Moving to a new high school

Wandering the halls hoping I was cool

Having sex for the very first time

Looking at girls thinking “damn she fine”

Making a team that cause for tumbling and power

Being in detention for more than a hour

Getting yelled at by mom

Showing out at prom

Walking across that stage

In community college studying turning a page

climbing rocks a hundred plus feet in the air

taking something on a dare

leaving childish behaviors behind

Discovering love I never thought I'd find

watching cartoons as a 20 year old man

Learning that life never goes as planned

seeing my love so far away

Hearing my mom yelling about she has to pay

All these weird things made me blossom

All these weird things are why I am awesome
