Destructive One

Oh boy little ol' destructive one,

Like a cute little puppy chewing on a shoe.

Hurting my feelings, I think I'm done,

Would've finished sooner if I only knew.

The unbearable pain you put me through,

The aching of my heart hurt a ton.

You had me stuck on you like glue,

For some reason but I must run.

Run away from the spell you had me upon,

The one that made me fall for you.

You raised me up high to the sun,

Then dropped me down, now feeling blue.

Too foolish because I liked the view,

But then it hit me and as my head spun,

I realized it wasn't just us two,

No wonder you were having fun.

Had to finish, nothing left to do,

Even though you were a loved one.

You played a game you thought no one knew,

Guess who made a touchdown and won,

And was made stronger, it wasn't you.
