to destroy is to create
I want our love
to disrupt worlds.
I want our love to be tumultuous.
I want people to see us and see two universes
coming together to form something entirely new and unknown.
I want our love to be Tchaikovski’s cannons. I want our love to be thunderstorms
rolling in the deep. I want our love to be unequivocally and undeniably powerful. I want our love to
destroy walls
and create art.
I want our love to be the physical embodiment of oil paintings and musical chords. I want our love
to be our galaxy’s Pillars of Creation. I want our love to be the connection
between stars that form the brightest and most mischievous constellations.
I want us to be songs and poems and books and letters, I want us
to be dewdrops on Tiger Lilies in the morning,
I want us to be silk sheets upon a bed
and film canisters containing time.
I want us to be art.
