Destiny's confusion

Colossians 2:8

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Destiny

A bucket full of emptiness presented at my door

The weight of it too heavy to place out on the floor

It seems easier to swallow that’s what I’m living for

To be filled with nothingness deep in the inner-core

Now I can help others who have the same need

Shaking hands and smiling wishing them God’s speed

Joining now the clique with the special who “believe”

And here and there some truth to project or to receive

Like a train to Alaska caught in snow and ice

Talking about progress in a frozen paradise

Convincing self and others that all is pretty nice

Showing lots of regress but that seems all right

Leaning on one’s own power of our imagination

Counting as a blessing the steps of degradation

Calling this humility to hide one’s own frustration

We’ll be happy with our misunderstood salvation

On and on it goes on our self-chosen path

Leading to the highway that is wide and fast

Counting few victories remembered from the past

All in all, it’s certain now that our destiny is cast
