Desperate

Luke 15:10                 New English Translation

10 In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”

Romans 10:8-9                       New English Translation

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we preach), 9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Desperate

Among you now, my brethren, I stand alone and watch

Behind me rises One, Who will gently set a peaceful tune

Words of Life and words of death are mixed into a batch

And as the song gently fades away, all will appear in ruins

Resurrection only comes at a time when all the chips are down

When all seems lost, once and for all, in a colorless surrounding

It is then in the “here and now” that Life, Himself abounds

As the One reaches into our helplessness with a gentle compounding

It is not a blazing light we seeand it seems like a warm and gentle touch

It is not raging words we hear, but just a tiny whispering soft voice

I am not judged right here and then but just reminded that He is near

And that I can find the rest I need if I let Him make and be that choice
