In The Desert

Delivered from Egypt, but stuck in the desert

Still holding on to the sins I once treasured

Ignoring the manna, bread sent from above

Longing and wishing for what I once loved:

The place where I hurt, so abused and oppressed

I've twisted the mem'ry to "joy" not distress

Why am I living weighed down by all this

Too scared to leave Egypt and enter the promise ~
