Depression Comparison

How black is the night with the bleakest dawn
How long do you mourn after no one is gone
The shoulder of life comes not alone or easy to bare
Accompanying it is a cold, listless stare

Bury yourself with thoughts about life
None of it will spare your guilt, nor your strife
Darkness surrounds you, but alone through the must
You choose not to walk, but in the light which you trust

To choose no path, you break away from it all
But with no path to follow, brace for your fall
It's time to face the facts, my dear
There is no greater life than the one you have here
