Dependency

Dependency

Matthew 26:41

41 Stay awake and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Potency and impotence in service to The Lord

depends on the strengthening of Jesus Himself.

The special powers that He renders to the inner-man

are fully in the Hand of God, Who understands me well.

Feelings and the physical body don’t give up dominion easy.

They’ll fight all the way it seems and never will give up.

They may lose a battle but always return with persistence

and use sleazy tactics as long as they‘ll wind up on top.

Willing by itself is just not good enough.

The spirit must be strong to overcome the flesh.

The infirmities thereof demand full attention

for without the Holy Spirit, the flesh is at its best.

But through the Holy Spirit, a new window appears.

Through Him, life shows itself with all its complications.

As in an open book The Holy Spirit shows

in wisdom and love how to solve problems of frustration.

Life is never what the flesh expects but what can be done for others.

The baptism of The Holy Spirit has just that special purpose.

To serve God in the Highest through His representation

and here on earth to be like Him in love, warmth and service.
