The Definition of Love

Fri, 01/17/2014 - 17:09 -- okeleye

Love.

A common word

That only can be described

By an uncommon feeling.

Though plainly said by many,

Only a few may understand

The profession of this oath

That can’t be sold,

But rather given by the Creator himself.

A gift.

A gift sworn to secrecy

Between one another,

Not physically visible

But spiritually intertwined by the

Heart in which both posses,

Love.

Signed on the heart

Promising more than just a few kisses

And a few kids.

A love that is special,

Far from the ordinary

 ‘Drunk in lust’ affair.

A love that is true,

Almost too good to be true,

But extraordinarily

And undeniably real

That a life without

May not comprehend.
