Decay

Ecclesiastes 3:8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

Times of war

Decaying paradise on the shores of nothing

Just some material is thrown in for attraction

In a moment or two, all wiped out by something

Showing up in temporal in its own dissection

Hopes and dreams were built on shores of sand

Wind and rain in power pushed waves of despair

No one really knows the issues now at hand

As they can now see what war does over there?

Love and hate mixed in a pie prepared for eating

Some of it tastes good but all with an aftertaste

Some give freely and others respond with cheating

Taking every moment to enrich self in haste

“Long live the queen”, called the almighty dollar

Some will be used for good as others do the raking

As death of some in-kind will provide a life for others

For such are signs of time appearing without faking
