Death of the stars

Fri, 12/16/2016 - 01:13 -- kturn

He saw a million wonders in her eyes, an abundance of stars on a cloudless night

The promise of infinite possibilities

As they slowly dimmed one by one, tears silently followed yearningly as he wept

The promise of infinite darkness

His hands felt cold as her grasp was now gone, his heart tearing as she walked away

Knowing he would never see the stars shine in her eyes again
