Dear Old Friend

Dear old friend,

I tried to keep you from falling, I tried to help you stand.

I had offered you my shoulder, and reached out a hand.

I gave you my umbrella, to keep you out of the rain.

I offered you my advice, in hopes to ease your pain.

You never could see the the things that had bothered me.

You chose to push me away, and now I need you to leave me be.

I shared you my wisdoms, shown you my ways.

I tried to make things better for you, and now I know I had wasted those days.

The world we had began to crumble and fall, our thoughts became shattered.

Instead of returning helpfulness, you made me feel as if I no longer mattered.

I once made a promise tp help you always, and now I throw this away.

You cannot change this decision, no matter what you say.

I hope you find love, live a happy life, do as you please.

I do not wish you pain but a life of ease.

I will find someone else who hears my advice and see its value.

I may have given you a piece of my soul, but I am no longer a friend for you.
