Dear Movement

Dear Movement,

Create a cradle closer to the edge of unstable

where I stay but stop but move in all the same directions

that I have been trying not to see.

Dear Movement,

Hold on tight and tighter

before I get washed off the ride and into unknown water

let me put my hair down and enjoy the breeze.

Dear Movement,

Keep me warm in winter,

keep me cold inside.

Keep me calling for adventure,

keep me crawling somewhere to hide.

Dear Movement,

Never settle. Never stick or stay or shackle.

Always float towards, away, behind somewhere in the past.

Somewhere else today.

Dear Movement,

Flutter leaves in your path and crash through waves with peaks like moving moons.

Tickle eyelids with quick flashing flashes

and sprinkle earth with something sudden.

Dear Movement,

Never shared, never subtle.

Take me further away to a place where I am too far to see those who are still.

Because they fell behind whilst I was moving.

Dear Movement,

You are vibrant, you are varied.

You are lonely and afraid.
