Dear Girlfriend

School has something to teach me each day,Though it bores me to death just as much,Yet there's someone I study in every which way,And learn from each word and each touch, Math isn't tough and the numbers are easy,Yet there's way too much thinking to do,So instead I think of things that'll please me,And 10 times out of 10, I think of you, Then there's my history class that I have,With so many new things to learn,But my attention in class is usually halved,Because it's thoughts of you I yearn, In gym I get active because I love sports,It's a way to relieve all the stress,And although I love the fields and the courts,The way I feel with you is best, And then I have science and English and lunch,And during those classes you're there,The sad part is that you're in my mind a bunch,Yet in those classes you're not in a chair, So I sit in the class and just doodle some words,Some witty while others are corny,And I start up a note with words that you've heard,"Dear girlfriend, I wake for you each morning."
