dear ellipsis

i see you Ellipsis
joining the sweet mellow with your soil
calling out in the distance where white flags sing
where black-eyed susan used to dance

in the shadows you ache to see me
dare i not disappoint and ellipsis you waiting
while i bloom into your marigold

vase and stalk like pestle and mortar welcomes
the water like my hidden lisp into lily
dew on leaves drip down ellipsis

shards but red carnation stands
when you have ellipsis together at dusk
full and filled with tansy that fights
daisy until ellipsis six feet into the moonlight

who could have known my dear Ellipsis
that ivy would be you
