Dead Youth Rose, Gabriel Cappello

While we are young

Youthful and ever so free

Not a concern in site

with a world of danger ahead in the light

New responsibilities become uncovered

Late childhood becomes unmothered

Experimentation begins

In addition, so does a life of sins

Development is supposed to be beautiful

Considered as growth, a solitary rebirth

Teen years are thought of as quite bashful

Only for some, are the teen years quite fun

Schooling is broken and twisted

Students slave for a letter on a paper

But don't realize their education has tapered

While men sit back and laugh at our slave work.

This poem is about:
My community
My country
Our world
