Days

the sun sets and rises
as the moon dances
together at once
step
step
step
the clouds come to gather
watching this distant couple
spin
spin
spin
the grandfather clock's click beats
the sun and moon slip into sheets
light escaping replacing details
in which prevail existing faces
to see
in darkness
it's a promise to last forever
yet cleverly has an expiration
with no separation tenderly
warm reflection feels wanted
On the man's cheek

birds sing in flock formation
this romance not to be forsaken
or taken from the sky
fly
fly
fly
soaring high, wind whistles
tunes of bristling trees
fall
fall
fall
the call of fallen leaves rustle
nervous fluttering
muttering songs of trouble
love lasts through forecast
and longs for partly cloudy
west quested Suns journey
moons levitate with no worry
