Dawn Comes

Dawn comes.
Rising out of the east.
Some gloriously bronzed triumph,
Some magnanimous, austere regality
Returning from one brave venture
Through Night's frigid, bitter darkness.
Hope glows - golden red - as warmth is released
Upon this eeire land of icy laments and depression.
Dawn marches forward,
Beating back Night and her pallid eye.
The screeching demons of my past flee the light.
Her rays, spears of lovely light, pierce Night,
And I find myself lost in wonder and fright.
Amazed at such a loving might.
That she would do this for me!
I smile as she comes,
Knowing another day approaches.
So when Night comes again,
And my sad past creeps up,
I will look forward.
I will dream again.
I will be happy.
I will live.
