Darkness

Streetlights blur my vision,

The darkness seeps into my soul.

The heavy air gets trapped in my lungs,

Making me feel the things I refused in the daytime.

My movements delayed,

My eyes peered,

My thoughts darkened,

What once was bliss in the daylight,

Is now desolation.
