Darkness

Out of the darkness I shall arise, to a path not yet walked.
Confronted and condemned, my head shall remain high.
As I reach the broken bridge, a light begins to repair every missing piece.
Yet still I find it unsafe, as the dark threatens to pull me back down.
For I began this journey with a broken soul, which could not feel nor be fixed.
Now pieced together with the strongest glue, it holds the strength of 1000 men.
Although I've won this one small battle, what more I shall fight lies still in the shadows.
Until that time I shall be victorious, as I have won.
And light has beaten darkness.
