The day starts as gloom

Alarm blares throughout my room

All I want is sleep. 

 

Quickly close my eyes

But then I do realize

More to life than sleep. 

 

Burst out of my bed

Splash water atop my head

Down the stairs I creep. 

 

Burden through the day

Boredom makes me feel so gray

My heart longs to weep. 

 

Then here comes the time

Finally I reach my prime

Much better than sleep. 

 

Eyes brighten with joy

My happiness I deploy 

She makes me feel great. 

 

With her I'm alive

Off of her love I do thrive

I no longer hate. 

 

Boredom becomes fun

Because I know she's the one

Truly perfect mate. 

 

Without her I'm broke

I again become a joke 

I need my sweet date. 

 

Through her I can live

Thanks to all the love she gives

My life is now sate.
