Daily Disaster

Shades of blue and black blanket the sky.

The odd star twinkles faintly from a million miles away.

And slowly, the world turns.

There is that moment, just before dawn, when the world enters a solitary ice age.

There is only silence and the chill.

Goose bumps form and it is like passing through the eye of a hurricane.

What will this next day bring?

Will I perservere?

The sun rises, peaking timidly across the horizon while the world slumbers on.

I am awake.

And honestly, I couldn't be warmer.
