Daddy's Little Girl (version 1)

Childhood screams of an echoed past-
Tears like the rain
that covered your lies.
Never there,
never in joy.
The memories of him,
hidden, not forsaken.
The weekends like christmas,
two days a week
he was there for me,
daddys little girl-
the rest spent in lonely--

isolation is a choice,
the years that were spent,
in separation,
in desolation-
the tears,
the pain that withered
your little girl away
finally you care-
a little too late.

She grew too strong,
she grew-
out of your reach,
you're a joy no longer welcome,
daddy's little girl,
not anymore.
Your words no longer hurt-
your disappointment
has no meaning.

You lost your chance,
irony at it's finest!
memories in tatters,
her heart, your heart,
now both shattered,
what can you do now,
you presence is not wanted-
you lost her-
daddy's little girl.
