Dad

I could climb the brick walls of my father's face

Abraided by years and razor burns

I keep my distance just in case

His gaze emerges from the wild ferns

Of his thicketlike red brows

To make that fatal eye contact

And I will look as far away as my body allows

and my expressiom I will severely redact

To aviod at all costs words being said
