Cycle: Fly or Crash

Sun, 07/30/2023 - 23:52 -- Rescaro

I met a little girl,

She said she wished she could fly.

I wondered why,

Maybe away from all the sorrow,

Or to find her daddy who's gone.

After I left,

She'd always cry,

Unlike her daddy,

I gave her toys and time,

Why couldn't she grasp this?

'Cause if you hurt a child one day,

Pain is the only thing that'll stay.

How could you remember good things,

Like eating sweets and lullabies?

But I know one day she'll be able to fly.

Show the ones she loves time,

Loyalty, security, and trust,

All the things a child needs.

But if not, then another child will want to fly,

And I hope they won't crash.
