The Cycle of Dreamers

We all have wanted be grown up

Hearing all of the hype behind it buildup

To become free of our restrictions

And chase your ambitions

Following the dreams that you sought

By reaching for the stars like an astronaut

But as we all grow older

Dreams become grounded like a boulder

Life was so simple

Moments changing us as a ripple

Time will not wait for you

The epiphany few knew

Don't you remember

When Summer seemed to last forever

Being excited for Christmas and Halloween

But it all now passes like a routine

Burdened from the small fruits of our ambitions

Once again we are barred with restrictions

Shrugging off all the hype from when we were ten

We all have wanted to be young again
