Curtains

Location

The curtain's hurting my eyes

I never chose to hide my pride behind red velvet

I listened to that last monologue and felt it

The curtain is falling on me

I want to rise with every scene however the curtain

says I shouldn't be seen

So I scream improvised lines until the audiance comes

to realize I am there

They start to stare

I continue to share myself with the intrigued crowd

The curtains instruct me to calm down

So I become even more loud

Until I drown the curtains out
