This woman I met far off at sea
Was the only one there to hear my plea
She looked into my eyes and sang a song
Of course in my mind there was nothing wrong
In a cave she went, the place she called home
She lured me in with a melodic tone
Dawn came fast like mother after child
On the leaves we lay, the night became wild
Innocence was gone as I woke in the light
The woman not there, that thief in the night
Now I live my days with a missing heart
Turning to poetry, this form of aft
Only to heal the pain of true love's sting
Loneliness is marked by solitude's ring
