He turned his head
And walked away
And lived to die another day
And as he lay awake in bed
His thoughts wreaked havoc in his head
The ghosts of what he didn't do
Were stronger than he ever knew
Regrets he never knew he had
Became enough to drive him mad
The actions that he didn't take
And choices he refused to make
And all the things he didn't say
Will hunt him till his dying day
'Cause sinners are as sinners do
But what they don't defines them to
So for the first time in his life
The coward's fear was justified
