Cup of Joy

Fri, 01/31/2020 - 15:26 -- amy.1

Walking into the coffee shop

As the dark aroma absorbs you

Roasted coffee beans that indulge you

The sound of brewing coffee

Bitter on some days

And sweeter on others

Walking into the coffee shop

Smile plastered from ear to ear

Joy within the atmosphere

Just a cup a day

Gives me the jitters all day

Walking into the coffee shop

Getting my daily dose of pick me up

Something to cheer me up

The energy so strong

Dancing like nothing is wrong

Getting thru the day

Walking into the coffee shop

Foamed cream to put on top

A blend smooth enough to never refuse

My go to drink for when I’m alone

May I carry my life along with a cup to chug on
