Crying Out For Help

They sit in cages, basements, or carsWaiting for the day they'll be free from the pain but never the scars. They cry and call out for helpAs they are struck and let out a yelp. It's sad to see pets shed tearsAs the one who has struck them has had a few beers. The pain they suffer is non-bearingAs they see how people can be so uncaring. The marks, tears, and pain will never go awayBut they still hope for that one special day. When someone will save them from their prisonSo their fur will no longer bear the crimson.
